HRH THE SULTAN OF PAHANG PRESENTS RUβRASA HOMES TO RECIPIENTS IN KAMPUNG DESA KAYANGAN
CAMERON HIGHLANDS, 12 February 2026 β His Royal Highness the Sultan of Pahang, Al-Sultan Abdullah Riβayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah Ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah, today graciously attended the Key Presentation Ceremony of the Al-Sultan Abdullah Peopleβs Housing (RuβRASA) at Kampung Desa Kayangan, Brinchang, here.
His Royal Highness, who drove himself and arrived at 11 a.m., was received by the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Malaysia, His Excellency Dr Mubarak Saeed Ahmed Al Dhaheri; the Pahang State Executive Councillor for Local Government, Housing, Environment and Green Technology, YB Datoβ Haji Mohammad Fakhruddin Mohd Ariff; and the Cameron Highlands District Officer, Tuan Kamarul Iskandar Nordin.
At the ceremony, His Royal Highness graciously presented the Al-Sultan Abdullah Peopleβs Housing (RuβRASA) to two recipients among residents in the area as part of an ongoing effort to assist those in need in owning comfortable and secure homes.
In his address, His Royal Highness expressed his gratitude and said he felt fortunate to be present at the ceremony, though modest in scale, it carried profound meaning.
βI feel very fortunate to be present at an event which may be small in scale but is very significant to me. This is because we are presenting a house for the recipients to use for the rest of their lives,β said His Royal Highness.
His Royal Highness further explained that the RuβRASA initiative is not only implemented in Cameron Highlands, but the project, now in its third phase, has been expanded to all districts in the state, with 18 houses allocated in Cameron Highlands.
In this regard, His Royal Highness advised the recipients to take good care of the homes bestowed upon them and never to sell or rent them out.
βI hope you will take good care of this house. Do not sell it or rent it out. I do not allow that to happen,β His Royal Highness decreed.
His Royal Highness also conveyed his appreciation to the Cameron Highlands Development Corporation (PKCH) and all parties directly or indirectly involved in resolving the long-standing land lease issue in Desa Kayangan.
βAlhamdulillah, I thank PKCH and all those involved because this issue has been resolved earlier. At least all of you (residents) now have your own lots, lawful and legitimate lots. You may now reside safely and with full blessings,β said His Royal Highness.
His Royal Highness also emphasised the importance of maintaining cleanliness and infrastructure in the area, which has been designated as a Malay settlement, including proper sewerage and drainage systems to ensure it does not lag behind in basic development.
βI want this area to be kept clean at all times. Take care of your compounds and trees, and most importantly, cleanliness in terms of sewerage. If possible, review the sewerage system here as we do not want this Malay village to be left behind in terms of infrastructure,β His Royal Highness added.
His Royal Highness further decreed that he would visit the area from time to time to monitor its progress and expressed hope that a continuous action plan would be formulated to further beautify the area. -KESULTANAN PAHANG
